Ok, I'll try to explain my stay. First impressions of the hotel, nice older style hotel, I actually thought it was neat, reminded me of something you would find out on some mid western hwy way Checked in around 10 AM on Wed, Dec 6, the Desk Clerk was frendley, and Yes professional. So get checked in, and was told that they had rooms already available so if like, we could go to our rooms. Sure, thanks....oh, but wait, that will be an additional $35.00. Then there's a charge to park your vehicle there. To top that off, they charge you another $30 for incidentals. What incidentals? Once I got in the room, the only thing I found was 2 can of some kind of water. If you don't use it, then it goes back on your card. So, I got to the room, bare minimum in the room. There is no place to hang your clothes, only the bed, a chair, and a dresser which contains the small refrigerator and drawers. So I have some time to kill, watch some tv. Nope, it's not working. Ok, I'll call the front desk. Nope, they only accept txt msgs. Waited close to an hr. Had to leave. I never saw anyone while I was there. Came back around 6, went to the desk about the tv, finally someone showed up about 10 min later. He was very professional and did what he could, still not working. I was able to change rooms from 127 to 119. Oh boy, what a difference. A lot nicer room. Had a place to hang my clothes, sitting chair, desk chair with table, bench seat, 100% better. King size bed was very comfortable, I slept very well. Also, being at the end of the hallway, extremely quiet, Had an ironing board, and iron, I must compliment you on your shower design. They have the control handle on the wall right when you open the shower door, opposite the wall from the shower head. Great job. Start the shower without getting wet. If I was giving this room first, I would have rated it 5 stars. But since I saw the difference, the entire place . They have a nice size lobby, numerous college age students in there on their laptops. Small snack area.You're not far from the downtown area, easily within walking distance, and they also have bikes you can rent. They have a restaurant / bar, open split hours. Morning and evenings, closing at 9pm, Didn't get the chance to visit it, so not able to talk on it. They also give $10 voucher to use each day, make sure you use it. I will be posting pics, which will show both rooms as well. Fri Morning, as I was leaving my room, I got a very unexpected surprise waiting outside my door. You will see in the pics. It was taken to a vet center who made sure it was well. All the staff are very friendly and professional. The reason I'm giving 3 stars is due to all the additional cost they tack on and my 1st room experience.

This place is so neat. Very unique. Everyone I dealt with was great and super polite. I travel for work, so unfortunately I cannot come here anymore as they don't serve breakfast! Such a silly thing to "complain" about but I should have read the posting beforehand. No markdown for that. The rooms look like they're set up for a social media photoshoot which was kind of strange. The QUALITY of the room is my markdown. The cabinets were falling apart, the AC didn't work great. There was quite a bit of drywall debris everywhere? Which was strange. All said, I would recommend you stay here. Very hipster. Very expensive store. But very comfy and different
